Recovering

Ok so here is what I did today. Recovering....from a near heart attack. Thinking I had deleted ALL my pictures off my computer. Now I do backup some, but not nearly enough or often enough....all is good, I found them about 10 minutes later. Which in all reality is WAY too long. So in between trying to find them and getting them back onto my picture manager Owen decides to poop. Only just a little here and there. Still not so sure I won't find any on the floor...(don't even ask)

New Attitude

Because I read and re-read the last post of mine, it makes me kinda sick! So....starting today I'm going to tell you about the things I DID instead of the things I DIDN'T do. **

  • I ran 3.5 miles and walked .5 mile
  • I picked through some of Owen's baby toys to put on a garage sale
  • I washed all the sheets and made all the beds of the 3 kiddos
  • I took Owen potty 20 times and tried to get him to go poop 20 times
  • I put a second coat of paint on in the spare room minus trim work (I didn't do so hot the first time)
  • I took a 20 minute power nap until Owen woke me up.
  • Made zuchini bars and forgot to add the butter (which was melting in the microwave) Good to know they still taste ok w/out it!
  • Made homemade hb buns
  • Made supper-grilled bacon cheese & chicken burgers, rice, fruit salad, green beans from garden
  • Went through the kids bookshelves for books to put in garage sale
  • Finished doing a photo album from Shutterfly of our family vacation.
  • Giving Owen a bath

Ok-I feel much better after writing it down in a list. This is my new an improved attitude.....

**this does not mean that I will never complain about anything, but hopefully not as much as I used to. I still reserve my right to vent!

NOTHING

I wish I could tell you that I have been on a mad dash cleaning binge thus no posts for awhile, but that ain't it.

Or maybe I could tell you that I'm working on some major garden/landscaping project, but that ain't it either.

Or I could tell you that I have been looking and finally found the perfect material and sewing some much needed kitchen curtains, but that ain't it either.

Or that I've been canning and freezing like a pioneer women to get my family stocked for winter, but that ain't either.

Or going through every inch of my kids bedrooms looking for the missing socks and lego pieces and puzzle pieces or even polly pocket cowboy hats, but that ain't the reason either.

I could also tell you that I've been catching up on the 3 kiddos scrapbooks. You know Owen, doesn't even have a baby book and Maddison's I'm pretty sure stopped at 2, but that ain't it either.
The reason no posts: I've got NOTHING!! and haven't done any of the above mentioned, but on my long list of to do's. I don't think I've really done anything in 4 days!

Oh-I'm sure some of you would like to know that our 6 pairs of 2T underwear-3 Thomas the Train and 3 CARS have been washed, dried, rinsed, soaked, washed and dried about 104 times since potty training started 2 weeks ago-

or that we finally had someone finish sheetrocking and mudding our spare room in basement, because Brent can't STAND to do that. It took them all of 4 hours to finish what would have taken Brent all winter long-AND-let us not forget that it cost us some mega bucks as well! or that I started painting it today and that the paint man told me "it will dry darker" Reaaaalllllllyy-Did you know that when GRAY dries darker it magically turns TAN!

Oh I did do some canning and a little freezing but not like no pioneer woman. Pretty sure our family would starve if we only ate: the 9 quarts of salsa and 3 quarts of whole tomatoes and 12 cups of corn and 5 pkgs of green beans......last about 3 days.

Some days just seem to run together w/no end in sight. I asked my friend this morning on the phone, when do I get to do the fun stuff? I know, I know, the laundry can wait, dishes can wait, bathrooms can wait etc. etc.., but REALLY how LONG can they wait??? In my case not very long. Maybe I'm just have the end of summer/ longing for fall kind of attitude.

Kids will be home from school soon and can't wait to see how their day went. It is always very interesting and tonight we have Maddie's open house. And the good news w/that is they are providing a free supper. Score-I dont' have to make supper tonight, maybe things are looking up?????

NOTE/CLARIFACTION:
After posting this about 15 minutes ago I got to thinking about my ramblings. I want to say:I'M SO VERY THANKFUL EVERYDAY THAT GOD HAS GIVEN MY FAMILY THE OPPORTUNITY FOR ME TO STAY AT HOME. I KNOW THAT MANY FAMILIES DO NOT HAVE THIS AS I DO. SO PLEASE DON'T MISS UNDERSTAND WHERE MY THOUGHTS COME FROM. I LOVE THE FACT THAT I GET TO BE HOME WHEN MY KIDS GET OFF THE BUS AND THAT I CAN HAVE A HOT DINNER WAITING FOR MY HUSBAND. BUT SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE THESE DAYS RUN TOGETHER, THUS MT RAMBLINGS!
