It's a Girl

My brother Mark and sister in law Heather found out during their sonogram yesterday they are having a girl. The video is of Maddie finding out and Garrett saying how he already knew. He is so full of it he had no idea, but he can't stand that he didn't know first. Is that a first born thing? My nephew Kael apparently knew it was a girl too, as he told Mark and Heather's small group at church and his Sunday School classs that they were having a girl, way before they ever found out. Kael would also argue w/Mark and Heather about the baby being a girl. Mark and Heather already have 2 boys so the chances of them having a girl were pretty slim. We are excited and so is Maddie. Notice in the video she is looking at Garrett as if she has just beat him in a game and can't wait to brag. Now Maddison has Boston (craig side) and Baby girl (rundquist side). Is their more to come?? Katie? Mikhaela? Lori?

Released from Hospital

Good News. Boston was released to come home this afternoon. Please pray that she heals completely and that all meds she is taking work. She needs rest and strength. We saw her tonight and she was cruising all over, but still sounds a little congested, but otherwise very good. Thanks again for your prayers.

First fishing trip of 2009

Today was such a nice day. My mom went to Minnesota to see her sisters and cousins, so my dad was home all weekend by himself. So after church we took him lunch and hung out. After a good nap and Royals game, we decided to go fishing. My parents have gotten each of the grand kids their very own fishing pole. I am thinking O will get one for his birthday come June. My parents have a crick that runs behind their house. It serves all sorts of purposes. Swimming, ice skating, fishing, rock throwing, rock skipping. In fact when we were kids my brother and I would practice water rescues w/my sister Katie. She's still alive, so I guess that makes Mark and I pretty darn good. (Let me clarify: it wasn't like she was actually drowning) we just tell her to go up current and jump in and we would catch her as she floated by and even that could only be done when the creek was up. Anyway...... we went fishing. Kids started out really well just like always, in fact the fish were biting. I bet we caught at least a dozen little sunfish. I should say dad and I caught a dozen. G and M did good, but then jumping the creek and getting wet took precedent. O could have cared less about the fish, he wanted sticks and rocks. Brent did take him to go check cattle w/4 wheeler for awhile. Here are a few picks of our day.
Grandpa Dave and the kids.
Owen and his sticks (looks like he is witchn' for water)
Garrett and his first catch of the day. He is the only boy I know who has to wear sweats to fish in, because jeans are too hot and itchy. Oh, wait my brother MARK did the same thing!

Maddie serious about fishing.

Same post...

I know that it has been weeks since I posted. My sincere apologies. I was going to post something last night, but unfortunately what I was going to post was the same thing I posted 2 weeks ago. Our niece Boston is in the hospital again w/another bout of pneumonia. She is still in the hospital tonight and will be there at least all day tomorrow if not longer. They will be running some more and will be checking some other issues that she is having to see if they are all related. Please pray for them. Keeping a 15 month old happy in the hospital is not easy. Thanks!
